Description

Ultra comfort flat for casual wear with extra cushioning for all day comfort. Comes in extended sizes and multiple widths for a custom fit. From its very beginning in 1935, Trotters has been dedicated to creating high-quality women's footwear with appealing looks and exceptional comfort. The unique comfort of Trotters begins with a careful choice of materials: the softest leathers, high-tech cushioning, and flexible soles. And unlike many companies, Trotter's develops a separate last (the form around which the leather is shaped) for each size and width. So every pair feels like it was made just for you. With over 60 different sizes to choose from in most shoes, Trotter's promises you the largest selection of sizes and widths for even the hardest to fit foot. From work to the weekend and everything in between, Trotters brings you exceptional quality and comfort in every pair of shoes designed.

Excited to find a last that fits my feet so well - the depth of the heel and forefoot are correct and the shoe is evenly close to my foot without crushing any part of it.It rather isn't a walking shoe, though: there isn't quite enough space for the pinky toe, for example, to make the shoe comfy over many hours of wear. Also, walking in the shoe doesn't work very well, even though it fits. The sole is hard and noisy, unforgiving. I would ask to change the last for the pinky toe, and also to make the heel area longer and more horizontal relative the bending arch/middle of the foot. It feels like my heel wants to pitch and slide forwards in the shoe as I walk distances of about a mile. To be fair, I suspect that making the heel so tilted makes it fit more people, or workable for people who are buying the wrong size, so there isn't much incentive to change this aspect of the last. The look is just ok - the rectangular extra space in front of the littler toes looks odd at first, and a bit masculine. The combination of quiet navy but reflective silver makes the shoe not very useful.
