I live in Utah, its summer, this bore sighter in bright sun won't put light out to 100yds, But it will show outside to 50 yards; inside at 50+ yards it is very good. Green in my experience shows up better than red, just my opinion.Instructions were poor, very weak. The little plastic 10 compartment storage box is really cheesey.I paid under $20 so getting on paper at 50-100 yards saves me 5-10 rounds of ammo dialing in my scope.Would rebuyMy only complaint is I did not get the adapter for 45 but a little tape around the one for the 40 works fine. Did a spin test and it was right on, it is well worth the money.Great value for the money. Easy to use & multiple calibers. The laser itself works great. Problem is, the nice laser is useless because there are NO adapters that will fit common caliber rifles. There is no way to fit any of the adapters into a .30 rifle. The little screw that secures the rubber adapter bent the first time I tried to use it on my 6.5 Creedmoor. The adapters simply do not work. All of the smaller adapters are too small for a .30; and if you try to go to one size larger, the adapter will get seriously stuck in the barrel. None of the adapters will secure just right into a 6.5mm either. The screw will just pull through the adapter hole and the adapter will not come out. Took some serious work to get the stuck adapter out of my .30 cal barrel. I will be buying a different brand. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.Rubber plugs for different calibers is good idea, but requires some modification to be truly useful.tool slides right in to the barrel. works good for getting your shots on the target.HOWEVER, good luck getting the tool out.used on several calibers. got stuck in a 5.56 / .223had to unscrew the unit from the tip to get it out. The tip was hopelessly stuck on the barrel. And I mean HOPELESSLY. I was finally able to drive the stuck tip close enough to the end of the barrel to insert a drill bit and carefully chew up part of the rubber tip. After a good amount of oil and a bent aluminum cleaning rod, I finally got the rubber tip out. Luckily, my barrel did not suffer any damage. The tip for this caliber range is now destroyed.Might be a good idea to lube the barrel and these tips up before inserting in your barrel.I don’t know if there is a specific adapter form.30-06 but the one that fits in the barrel keeps getting stuck. Even when you use the screw drive.I really like most of this device. However, the rubber stopper that allows you to use multiple bore size comes off when taking the laser bore out. In my opinion, it's still a worthwhile product. You have to be careful when removing.
