Normally I would order size 10/ 36 or 12/38 depending of what I need. After reading reviews ordered size up for the reason. First of all - it depends what are you looking for: swimsuit for the race / practice or wear it on the land as well. Because all the competitive swim suites stretch while wet - you need it a bit tighter at first to avoid drag in the water. So - for the race I would order my normal pant size 10 / 36; for the practice swims - size 12 /38 would be good. Since I'm a swim coach for kids - I need to wear swimsuit on land but to be ready to go in to pool - so size 14/40 is fine: not so tight but fine in the water.My hips are 40in and it fits good for me. The fit of upper part depends on you body structure but again - it depends what you need. This size fits the goal of purchase and I'd like to order this suite in different color / smaller size for swim practices.I need help. I am 120 and 5'5 with short torso. 34/25/36 measurements. Really, my band is a 32. So technically, I am a bit smaller than the size guide for a size 30 but I went that way anyways.This suit is NOT tight in the stomach but quite tight in the arms and butt, it leaves red marks. What do I do? Is this normal? Should I size up? Do I return or replace? Speedo says this suit will loosen a bit in the water. Should I try swimming in it? If I swim in it and the suit is still too tight and restricts my arm motion, can it be returned? Please seller, contact me and let me know how to proceed with this.I bought this for my trim 11 year old daughter that has a long torso - she's just under 5 feet. She's usually a size 28 but based on the reviews I ordered a size 30. It fit perfect. If you are looking for a performance suit focused on speed order true to size. This suit has room for growth and fits perfectly for the practice and use for synchronized swimming. She doesn't like tight or loose suits. This was perfect. I just ordered another in a different color since she swims 4x a week. Price tag attached says $70 so this is a steal.Very good quality. Runs 2 sizes small. Would fit a petite/ not athletically built person better. Tight in the thigh.After reading other reviews, I did not know what to expect about the fit. I swim three days a week on a master's swimteam. I got my usual size for speedo suits (8/34). It is a little tighter in the hips than my endurance suit. However, I would not have enough chest support if I sized up to a 10/36. It is a nice suit, but not sure if it will hold up as long as the endurance suit. If you are used to the fit of the speedo endurance line with the PBT/polyester fabric, do not size up.daughter says a little loose in the straps. The opening in the back is not as large as appears in the picture, so my swimmer complains about the "oreo" tan line during outdoor swim team season. Fabric seems to be holding up to the abuse of chlorine and occasionally forgetting to wash it. A good practice suit.This suit runs a little bit small, so I would recommend going one size up. My daughter wears a 34 in all other Speedo swimsuits but we had to size up to a 36 because it seems to be shorter in the torso.
