Got this for my 3 year old who loves legos and just so happen to have saw these through a "sponsored advertisement" on the Amazon app. Usually I ignore them but, I'm glad I clicked. It was suppose to be for Christmas but he happened to find it under the bed before I could wrap it. It's a decent size for the price but, not lego par. My main complaint is the batteries used and lighting.I ask, Why do companies make toys that use these awful, hard to find, expensive watch batteries is beyond me. Could they not have just used a single AAA that insertable into the long stem? It's not like they couldn't, the hub that supports batteries to power lights was plenty big enough!Secondly, what irked me was they make it seem like the whole truck lights up. NO it does not it has a long main light rod that goes in the center but by no means does it even come close to lighting the top half. Which is why it took photos for others to view for themselves.Lastly, it does fall apart a little easier than legos but I already knew that from the reviews. However, given all those minor cons my son LOVES IT!!! Out of all legos other than superheroes this is his favorite piece. He has a woody lego (not included) that he sat on top. He calls it "woody truck." So it is lego compatible, the blocks are a fluorescent clearish color to at least try to get maximum glow. It also has the option to flash, stay lit, or turn light off with a slide button.Overall, HIGHLY recommend I will be buying more and even considered supergluing one together for my 11 month old who keeps stealing the truck. It's a truck, lights up, and can be redesigned to whatever your imagination dreams...what's not to love? Just a side note, it only shows instructions to one build, the rest you must download online through there website.Bought this for a 5 1/2 year old Lego maniac. The blocks semi-transparent and there is a a block that lights up for a cool effect. And the blocks work with Legos. Generally, the blocks go together just fine; however, we bought the 'monster truck kit which required putting the plastic tires onto the rim. Three adults tried to accomplish this using various methods without success. What finally worked was soaking the thick plastic tires in very hot water in a mug for a few minutes, which made them a tiny bit more flexible. It was still fairly tough but we got it done. These are "Lego-like", meaning they will work with any existing sets. They are slightly harder to connect to each other. Really liked how this was a 6-in-1 set. Multiple possibilities. The only real drawback were the wheels. Incredibly hard to put together. The rubber exterior was not pliable enough. I ended up soaking them in hot water for a few minutes then the rims were able to push in. Still hard, but not as before. The lights have different settings, which make it fun for your minifigs to drive down the hall. This is a great value for the price of the item, but overall I was expecting something a little different from the photos. I thought it would have directions for all 6 of the different types of vehicles it could make, but it just included directions on how to make 1 vehicle. Luckily, my kid can look at pictures and figure out how to reassemble into something different, but just an fyi if you are thinking you can easily switch it to something else. My kid absolutely loved that it lit up, such a fun feature! This isn’t a terrible option for a toy. But it’s really legos with a part that lights up. My son loved it for a minute. My other issue is that they advertise that you can build several different things but they don’t give you the instructions for them. You have to find the instructions online. Not the best option for a kid. At least put a couple of building options in the box.I got this toy for my Lego-loving 6 year old. The light-up base never lit up - power button didn’t work. The tires didn’t fit on the wheels - my husband and I both tried and we couldn’t do it either. My son lost interest in 5 min once it was clear the cool features were duds. I’m sending it back.Tires are impossible to get o the rims. I heated the tires with a hairdryer so that they would be more malleable and was able to get the tires in the rims. Once the weeks are attached to the axle, do not take them off or it will break the little lego axle. The different configuration are not as sturdy as the monster truck as all the prices were build for the monster truck and the other configurations were all an after thought. Some of the pieces in the instructions are different than what is provided in the lego set. You can definitely feel and see that it is not as well manufacturered or designed as real Lego, but in the end it works as describe and for the price it is a good value (although I had to heat the tires to fit them is unacceptable).Fun building toy! Laser Pegs are similar to other building toys, except the the dimensions and the height of the circle connectors is different from the most popular brand. Same concept and fun though! The instructions were easy to follow (only instructions for one monster truck is included, the rest are on their website) and my preschooler was able to build the monster truck mostly by herself. The wheels pop on and off very easily (they popped off when racing into walls or crashing with other trucks). The light peg has two modes - on and blink - and is easy to get to for turning off.I'd recommend for kids who enjoy building toys as a fun build. Picture added to show how bright the laser peg is - this was taken in a full lit room.My grandson LIVED this! Given as a gift; was put to use IMMEDIATELY!!!Great toy kids love itMy gift was well received by my 5 year old nephew. He enjoyed building it & showing it off. This was my 6 year olds favourite kit out of the 4 purchased for him. Easy to construct and amazing quality. Great value!! This would be a marvelous hit as a birthday party present. The tires are a good quality rubber like material and once the truck is constructed it provides hours of fun being pushed around etc. And it can take the movement without falling apart. A well deserved 5 starInteresting for the price, but the plastic used for the blocks is not as good as Legos .The axis of a wheel broken after two days! That ever happen with real Lego! But I received excellent service to the customer service oflazerpegs and they bring me back new replacement part.
